The city of Santa Noche, and the world at large, are home to a host of creatures ranging from the truly beautiful to the truly monstrous. The below is an outline of some of the more prominent players you will find in the city, but is not an exhaustive list of what you may encounter here. Please let this serve as a loose guideline for those of you looking to learn a bit more about the setting.

Changelings
Creatures that hail from Arcadia, changelings are half-human and half-fae. Whether they are from the Seelie or Unseelie courts (or, gods forbid, the Shadow Court), these otherworldly beings are forged in something wholly unlike any other creature in the World of Darkness - magic. Traditionally, Changelings will use their glamour to affect their seeming, hiding their true forms from anything that doesn't have access to the same magics that they do - though the kinds of magic they have are as varied and wonderous as any monster, so some have no need of glamour at all.
Should you encounter these creatures it would behoove you to keep in mind that they don't often think like another mortal, as they never have been, nor were they socialized as such. Cunning and mischievous, Changelings are the true wild cards of this world.

Humans
Quite possibly the most destructive of any of the monsters you'll find in Santa Noche, humans come in many shapes and sizes. Whether they're food, entertainment, or a very real threat, these creatures have lived alongside the other beings on this list for as long as any of them can care to recall - and they represent a necessary evil to most.
While your average human remains blissfully ignorant to the multitude of wonders around them - there are some who have enough wit, or perhaps just the grave misfortune, to find themselves wrapped up with the other monsters. Without a helping hand from something a bit more powerful, often these people will fall prey to any number of gruesome or swift ends... Or, if they're fast enough, perhaps remove the threat before it can do the same to them.

Hunters
As above, but make it spicy. Hunters were once human, and many of them will argue that they still are - chosen by a greater power than themselves to be a bastion of hope and protection for their human counterparts. Secretive and covetous of the gifts they've been given, these monsters will do whatever is necessary to destroy other creatures they perceive to be a danger to humans like themselves.
While powerful in their own right, Hunters don't have the same capability for violence or magic that other monsters do - so you'll often see members of their communities banding together to take on bigger threats, most especially when you get to beings on this list that are more physically imposing than others. These little lights tend to burn very bright, and at times, very briefly, especially before they get a good feel for what sort of beings they're out here fighting.

Mages
The world as we see it is simply to product of popular opinion - or so Mage's have come to understand. Once human, these magically inclined beings have opened their eyes to the wide world of options that exist when you start to accept that reality really is in the eye of the beholder. Appearing to most as nothing but average people, Mages have learned to bend certain aspects of reality to their will, and strive to garner more knowledge about the world around them through this new view that's been granted to them.
Mages in Santa Noche take all forms, just as they do elsewhere around the world. From computer geniuses who just seem to have a way with technology that baffles even the most hardened of IT professionals, to local hedge witches who really do seem to have tinctures that solve all your aches and pains... And smell a little funky. If these monsters can imagine a way that something might truly work within the reality that they've created for themselves, there is a good chance you'll either have a very good time - or a very bad time.

Werewolves
While many of these monsters on this list are somewhat different than their media counterparts, the Garou are not, with one important distinction. Getting a toothy hickey from your favourite furry friend won't also make you fuzzy every month. The Garou are born of Gaia, not created (with a few very rare exceptions - did someone say curse?). The vast majority of other stereotypes seem to ring true, however.
Massive and moody when the moon calls for it, these beasts are prolific for, if nothing else, their rage. Taking on forms that range between human and wolf, with many iterations between, these creatures are generally pack animals, and have a bite that is most assuredly worse than their bark. Able to shift between our world and the Umbra, the spiritual wonderers also have no issue making it known that they don't tend to be big fans of other monsters either.

Vampires
Once mortal, Vampires are now the immortal denizens of eternal night. However, unlike their famous media counterparts, Vampires in the World of Darkness don't suffer from some of the more fanciful flaws of their silver screen kin. While they are confined to night-time hours and require blood to maintain themselves, they don't have to worry about things like crosses, eating garlic bread, or being politely invited into your home getting in the way of their fun (at least for the most part).
Perhaps the most politically structured of all the monster factions, Vampires thrive on hierarchy and bureaucracy. Working within strict social networks that can be affected by things like blood potency, wealth, physical power, and at times just who you know, these long-lived monsters are a force to be reckoned with when dealing with other beings.
